Dr. Laurențiu-Ștefan SZEMKOVICS, researcher at the National Archives of Romania and member of the National Committee of Heraldry, Genealogy and Sigillography of the Romanian Academy just issued the volume Sigilii ale suveranilor României care au autentificat documente emise în perioada 1872-1931 (= Seals of Romanian sovereigns who authenticated documents issued between 1872 and 1931 – MEGA Publishing House, Cluj-Napoca, 2022, 196 pp., in Romanian).
The book includes various documents (mostly from the Central National Historical Archives Service in Bucharest), focusing on the images of state coats of arms and seals that were used under the four monarchs of Romania: Carol I, Ferdinand I, Mihai I (under Regency), and Carol II.
The armorial bearings included in the volume illustrate all the types of state Romanian arms (1867, 1872, and 1921).
